Susan Latan McDuffie Weeks, age 75, of Danbury, CT died Monday, July 3, 2023, at Danbury Hospital in Danbury, CT.

 

 

Graveside services will be held at 11:00AM Monday, July 10, 2023, at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Cemetery, with Mr. Bobby Ryals officiating.

 

 

Mrs. Weeks was born in Rhine, GA, in 1948 and was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church. She was a graduate of Dodge County High School and later married in 1973 and began her family in Douglas, GA. She also spent many recent years in Miami, FL, before moving to Danbury, CT. She enjoyed trips to the beach and spending time with her friends. She was the daughter of the late Emma Dean Bowen McDuffie and John Henry McDuffie and was preceded in death by her Husband, James W. “Jimmy” Weeks, Jr.

 

 

She is survived by her Son– James Wallace “Jamie” Weeks, III of Dawson, GA; 4 Grandchildren– James W. “Jimmy” Weeks, IV, Abby Weeks, Phebe Weeks, and Holly Weeks; Brother – Milton McDuffie (Kathee) of Hazlehurst, GA; Niece – Emily McDuffie Pope (Eddie) of Eastman, GA; Nephew – Jay McDuffie of Hawkinsville, GA; Great-Niece – Elyssa Pope; and Great-Nephew – Joseph McDuffie.

 

 

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Pleasant Grove Baptist Church.

 

 

Stokes-Southerland Funeral Home of Danbury, CT, is in charge of the arrangements.
