Eloise Goodwin, age 74, of Broxton, GA, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, October 17, 2023, at Coffee Regional Medical Center in Douglas, GA, after a brief illness. She was born on September 15, 1949, the daughter of Mrs. Margaret Ruth Gillard and beloved Step-Father Mr. Virgil Benefield.

 

 

She is survived by: Three Sons; Robert Lee (Jennifer) Stone, Timothy Ray Goodwin, and Anthony Cleveland Goodwin, Ten Grandchildren; Daniel Ray Crenshaw, Erica Dawn Crenshaw, Cody Goodwin, Charlie Goodwin, Madison Goodwin, McKenzie Goodwin, Austin Goodwin, Nathan Goodwin, Grady Hackenberg and Twyla Toledo, Three Brothers; Edward White, David Toliver, Bill (Mary) Toliver, One Sister; Vera Toliver, Twenty Great-Grandchildren, Several Nieces and Nephews. She was preceded in death by; Father; Virgil Benefield, Mother; Margaret Ruth Gillard, Husband; Buford Ray Goodwin, One Daughter; Jessica Dawn Goodwin, and One Son; William Franklin Goodwin.

 

 

The family will receive friends on Thursday, October 19, 2023, from 6PM until 9PM, at Sims Funeral Home in Douglas, GA.

 

 

The funeral service will be held on Friday, October 20, 2023, at The Chapel of Sims Funeral Home in Douglas, GA, with Rev. Loyce “Loy” Burkett officiating. Interment will follow at Cumorah Cemetery in Douglas, GA.

 

 

Active Pallbearers include; Daniel Ray Crenshaw, Jason D. Davis, Robert Lee Stone, Cody Goodwin, and Ashley Lewis.

 

 

Sims Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
