Dorothy Brigmond, age 92, of Douglas, GA, went to be with our Lord and Savior on Thursday, November 30, 2023, at her residence. She was surrounded by her family and friends. Ms. Brigmond was born on June 30, 1931, the daughter of Mr. Leroy Murry and Mrs. Lovie M. Murry.

 

 

Her survivors include: Two Sons; Joel Howard (Maria) Brigmond of Douglas, GA, and Mark Travis Brigmond of Douglas, GA, Three Daughters; Vicky June (Al) Glenn of Osierfield, GA, Barbara Jean Taylor of Douglas, GA, and Hilda Faye James of Douglas, GA, One Sister; Loretha Rhodes of Monroe, S.C., Fifteen Grandchildren, and Several Great- Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by: Her Beloved Husband; Norman Gene Brigmond, Three Sons; Bruce Brigmond, Gary DeWayne Brigmond, and Paul Brigmond, Father; Leroy Murry, Mother; Lovie M. Murry, Two Brothers; Clinton Murray and Calis Murry .

 

 

The family will receive friends on Monday, December 4, 2023, from 6PM until 9PM, at Sims Funeral Home in Douglas, GA.

 

 

Funeral services will be held on December 5, 2023, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, in Douglas, GA, at 11AM, with Elder Stevie Sirmans and Bishop Tony Davis officiating. Interment will follow at Salem Baptist Church Cemetery.

 

 

Active Pallbearers include: Felipe Brigmond, Jesus Isaac Brigmond, Mark Brigmond Jr., Joel Brigmond, Cam Brigmond, and Jeremy King (Elvis).
