Citizens Christian Academy athletic director and head baseball/softball coach Jeremy Coram has been named GIAA Class A Athletic Director of the Year by the Georgia Athletic Directors Association. Coach Coram received the award at GADA’s annual conference this weekend.

Each year the GADA honors athletic leaders from across the state by recognizing the Athletic Director’s of the Year as named by each region as well as the overall classification winners. Additionally, awards are given to the State Athletic Directors of the Year for the GHSA, Middle School and GIAA categories. In addition to the awards recognized by the NIAAA the GADA awards the Bob Stinchcomb Athletic Leadership Award.

“I want to first thank my beautiful wife and family for all their support. They deal firsthand with all the crazy hours and job duties I take on. Without them, none of what I do would be possible. I also want to thank my wonderful school. God has certainly blessed me with CCA and has led me on this path for a reason. To see how much I have grown and matured in my nine years at CCA is crazy and I owe that to everyone at CCA, the administration, the board of trustees, faculty, students, and parents. I also want to thank all the athletes I have coached along the way and to all my assistant coaches who have been with me. The wins are nice but seeing them grow and become better people is worth more than any win I could ever have,” wrote Coach Coram on his Facebook page.

During Coach Coram’s nine years at CCA, the Patriots have won state titles in baseball (2019) and softball (2024), and the Patriot program has been one of the best in the state, regardless of sport. In basketball this year, the women advanced to the Final Four and the men made it to the state finals. CCA has also resurrected its football program, which had been dormant since 2006. For the first time in 18 years, CCA played a varsity football schedule in 2024, going 4-6.
