Mr. Isidro “Sid” Govea Rodriguez, age 70, of Axson, Georgia passed away suddenly Thursday afternoon at Coffee Regional Medical Center following a brief period of declining health.

Sid was born February 1, 1955 in San Benito, Texas to the late Agustin T. Rodriguez and the late Cruz G. Rodriguez.  He made his career as an engineer for a number of years at PCC Airfoils.  He enjoyed spending his leisure time outdoors fishing, hunting and riding his side-by-side. He was of the Baptist faith.

Sid is survived by his 3 sons: Cory Rodriguez and wife Allison, of Willacoochee, Georgia, Curt Rodriguez and wife Jennifer, of Pearson, Georgia, and Collin Rodriguez of Summerville South Carolina; 7 grandchildren: Presley-Mae, Atlee, Case, Cobi, Connor, Calex, and Zander; 1 sister; 6 brothers; and  his loving companion of 15 years, Debbie Kilgore Harrell of Nicholls, Georgia.  A host of nieces, nephews and extended family members also survive.

Along with his parents, Sid was preceded in death by a brother, Albert Rodriguez, and a sister, Elizabeth Rodriguez.

A family gathering to honor Sid was held at Ricketson Funeral Home on Tuesday evening, March 25, 2025 from 6:00PM – 8:00 PM.  Memorialization will be by cremation.

Condolences, kind words, and fond memories may be may be left for Sid’s family at www.ricketsonfuneralhome.com.  

Sid’s arrangements have been entrusted to the kind and compassionate staff of Ricketson Funeral Home, Inc.
