Marlo Franklin Pfoutz, born on February 19th, 1954 in Franklin, Indiana, passed away on April 16th, 2025 in Jacksonville, Florida at the age of 71.  He was formerly a resident of Delphi, Richmond, Indianapolis, Spiceland, and New Castle, Indiana, and Douglas, Georgia.  He was preceded in death by his father, Marlo Edward Pfoutz (1986), and mother, Anna N. Pfoutz (2012) and wife of twenty-five years, Linda Kay Pfoutz (née Tucker) (June 15th, 1999).

He is survived by his wife of seventeen years, Gail Pfoutz.  He is also survived by his daughters Miranda Viva Rose Cotton (Ben), Tiffany Michelle Adams, and Jamie Lynn Pfoutz.  He is survived by his twelve grandchildren – Willow, Kevin, Simon, and Charles Harris, El and Bridget Cotton; Mikayla Fowler and Jenny Adams; Chloe, Elena, and Tristen White; and Devin Durham.  Surviving siblings are Kevin Pfoutz, William Pfoutz, and Marlene Posey.  He is also survived by several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.

He was very proud of his time in the United States Army and always stressed to his children the importance of patriotic duty.

He was proud of his children and grandchildren, and the things they accomplished in this life.  He was supportive and loving, and always there if you needed him to be.

Despite being disabled for much of his adult life, one of the greatest joys in his life was coaching – girls basketball and softball.  Several hundred women will recall spending hours with Coach Pfoutz, learning good sportsmanship and how to be a team player.

At his request, a service will not be held.  Donations in his memory can be made to your local parks and recreation departments, to support the encouragement of athleticism and sportsmanship for youths.
