On the evening of May 5, 2025, deputies from the Coffee County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of trespassing and suspected burglary at a business located on New Forest Highway.

Upon arrival, deputies met with the property owner who reported that a hole had been cut in the perimeter fence and that a male subject was observed on surveillance footage entering the property unlawfully. Deputies conducted a search of the premises and located a male individual hiding behind machinery inside the building.

The individual was identified as 48-year-old Timothy Watkins. He was taken into custody without incident. The property owner provided additional surveillance footage and photographs allegedly showing Watkins dragging an air compressor out of the building on a previous occasion and gathering welding nozzles at the scene.

Watkins claimed he was there to inspect for debris before grass cutting but could not provide a legitimate reason for his presence as he is not employed there and did not have permission to be there. He was transported to the Coffee County Jail where he remains in custody.
