Coffee Regional Medical Center (CRMC) is honored to recognize and thank Lily Kramer, a student at Coffee High School, for her remarkable fundraising efforts in support of the hospital’s Emergency Department. In celebration of her 17th birthday and the 10-year anniversary of a life-changing heart procedure, Lily raised and donated $2,250 to CRMC.

At just seven years old, Lily was rushed to the Emergency Room at Coffee Regional Medical Center with a heart rate of 174 beats per minute. Thanks to the quick actions of the medical team, Lily was diagnosed with Wolff-Parkinson-White (WPW) syndrome—a rare congenital condition that causes episodes of dangerously rapid heartbeats. The emergency staff stabilized her and coordinated a transfer for further care, ultimately leading to a successful heart ablation procedure that resolved her condition.

Now a healthy and grateful teenager, Lily wanted to give back to the hospital that played such a pivotal role in her story. She organized a fundraiser and presented CRMC with a donation of $2,250 to support the Emergency Department’s renovation campaign.

“We are touched by Lily’s generosity and inspired by her story,” said Vicki Lewis, President & CEO of Coffee Regional. “Her courage, compassion, and commitment to giving back will make an impact on our community and here at Coffee Regional.”

Lily hopes her story encourages others to seek care for unexplained heart symptoms and to support local hospitals like Coffee Regional Medical Center that provide lifesaving emergency care.

To learn more about how you can support CRMC and its Emergency Department, please contact CRMC’s Foundation Director, Drew Anderson at (912) 383-6910.
