If you thought that the 2025 football season for Coffee County teams ended Friday night, you might be surprised to find out that isn’t the case at all. One more team is alive and playing postseason football – the CCA Lady Patriots.

In their first-ever season of flag football (and the first-ever high school flag football season in Coffee County), the Lady Patriots are in the playoffs. The top six teams qualify for postseason competition; CCA finished ranked #6 with a 4-2 record.

The Lady Patriots will potentially play a double-header on Tuesday at Mount de Sales in Macon. Game will take place against #3-ranked Georgia Christian at 4 p.m. If CCA wins, the Lady Patriots will play again at 6 p.m. against Mount de Sales, the #2 seed.

The Lady Patriots’ two losses came against these same two teams during the regular season. Georgia Christian defeated CCA 12-0 the Mount de Sales eked out a 20-18 win.

So sports fans, don’t get fully invested in basketball just yet. There is still more football to be played.
