Mrs. Betty Frances Clary, age 85, of Douglas, GA passed away on Wednesday, November 12, 2014, at her residence following an extended illness. Mrs. Clary was born on January 22, 1928, in Monroe, NC to the late Frank McCoy Fite and Ruby Smith Fite. The South Georgia State College Hawks extended their winning streak to four games Tuesday night by defeating the Faith Baptist Prep Academy Crusaders, 110-61. The Hawks (4-0) were led by Jovante’ Spivey’s complete game of 23 points, six rebounds, five assists, and four steals. Cody Helgeland finished with a double-double of 18 points and 11 rebounds, and DeAundray Rhett had 14 points and five rebounds. Small Business Saturday is a day dedicated to strengthening the community by supporting local small businesses.
