Rachele Fico, the Lady Trojans’ new pitching coach, was inducted into the Connecticut Scholastic and Collegiate Softball Hall of Fame at its 32nd Induction Dinner Ceremony on Sunday, September 10. Oxford Connecticut native Fico, who joined the Coffee coaching staff this season, was honored for her accomplishments during her high school career playing for Masuk High School in Connecticut. Coffee Regional Medical Center Auxiliary will hold a quilt raffle in October to raise funds for CRMC’s Chemo Infusion Unit. Hands and Heart Quilters, a local quilting group meeting at General Coffee State Park on Wednesdays to create beautiful, one-of-a-kind quilts, donated a quilt for the raffle. Governor Brian P. Kemp today declared a state of emergency due to the 40-year-high inflation and negative economic conditions felt by hardworking Georgians as a result of policies coming out of Washington, D.C. As part of this declaration, he is temporarily suspending the state’s excise tax on motor and locomotive fuel to provide direct relief to families throughout the state.
