On Saturday, January 20, 2024, 9am-11:30am, Keep Douglas Beautiful volunteers will assist citizens living within the city limits with clean-up needs to help dispose of large, unwanted items. As part of the Keep Douglas Beautiful Work Plan, this service will be offered once per year for selected applicants. Any citizen living in the city limits of Douglas may apply for the service by completing an application at the Community Development Department located at City Hall, 302 S. Joyce Cole Brantley, 79 of Palmetto, FL, passed away on Friday June 23, 2023. A native of Charleston, S.C., she had lived in South Georgia most of her life where she had previously worked for the Georgia Department of Agriculture, Federal State Inspection Service for many years.
