She was born in Pearson on September 22, 1943, daughter of Jesse Sr. and Mildred Williams Smith. Ms. Maxine made her home here in Atkinson County, where she raised her family and was a makeup representative with the Avon Company for almost 50 years. Mr. Chester Brown, age 84 years old, of Pearson, Ga. passed away Saturday, January 28, 2023, at his home following an extended illness. He was born in Atkinson County on January 2, 1939, son of Charles Phillip and Gladys Stone Brown.
