Friday, Kenneth Chesebro, one of the 19 defendants indicted in the Fulton County RICO investigation into former President Donald Trump’s attempts to overturn the 2020 election, pleaded guilty to one felony count of conspiring to file false documents. Chesebro is the third defendant of the 19 who were indicted to plead guilty. Thursday afternoon, former Trump attorney Sidney Powell pleaded guilty to six misdemeanor charges. Earlier this year, investigators with the Jeff Davis County Sheriff’s Office conducted concentrated patrols and several investigations into individuals and their involvement in the drug trade. During the course of these investigations, officials seized quantities of methamphetamine, fentanyl, cocaine, illicit prescription medications, firearms, small quantities of marijuana, and drug paraphernalia.
