The Coffee County Sheriff’s Office arrested one man in late March on charges of armed robbery and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon following a vehicle pursuit that involved multiple law enforcement agencies. Around 11:20 p.m. on March 23, officers with the Broxton Police Dept. observed a vehicle matching the description of one that was involved in an armed robbery that had just occurred in the area of Haley Circle. A local man faces multiple felony charges following a string of recent thefts and unlawful vehicle entries. Coffee County Sheriff’s Office detectives were investigating these cases on Friday, April 1, when deputies observed a suspicious vehicle leaving the area where the crimes had occurred. A Coffee County deputy attempted to make contact with the vehicle in an effort to identify the occupants, and the vehicle fled the scene. The Coffee County Drug Unit (CCDU) announces the following recent drug-related arrests: March 21 – The CCDU located and arrested Cameron Blake Spires, who was wanted on an active warrant for failing to appear in court on a previous charge of possession of methamphetamine. March 28 – Officers attempted to conduct a traffic stop on a vehicle driven by Norman Bass, who was wanted on an active arrest warrant from another county.
