July 18 – 22 was an exciting week for Cloverleaf 4-H members (5th & 6th graders) in Coffee County. We loaded up the bus on Monday morning to head to the BIG CITY, Atlanta, GA. Cloverleaf 4-H Camp was held this year at the Fortson 4-H Center near Hampton, GA. In fact, the camp is so close to the Atlanta Motor Speedway, that we get a great view of it on the way in to the camp. Mr. Hudson spoke briefly about his past history with chemical dependency and the work the Life Recovery Ministry in Broxton is doing to help individuals in the Coffee County area struggling with substance abuse, compulsive/self-destructive behaviors, and emotional trauma. The Douglas – Coffee County Chamber of Commerce will host Trivia Night on Thursday, September 1, at 6:30pm at The Atrium Event Center. Tickets will be $5 at the door, with the winning team taking home half of the money collected that night.
