George Washington Carver freshman student DyAnna Hayes of Ambrose was recently named the 2016 Teen Miss Peach Blossom Queen at the prestigious pageant in Hawkinsville. DyAnna is the daughter of Brandon and Misty Hayes. Her grandparents are Emmett and Brenda Hampton of Ambrose, Larry Hayes of Willacoochee, and Marie Hayes of Nashville. Rev. James Jackson Moore, age 88, of Willacoochee passed away Friday evening, August 19, 2016, at his residence following an extended illness. He was born September 5, 1927 to the late William McKinley Moore and the late Annie Rice Moore. Rev. Moore, a native of Berrien County, had been a Holiness Baptist Minister for 50 years. He was a U.
