The school year has gotten off to a great start in Coffee County Pre-K, and students are learning and adjusting to their first year of school. Eastside students in Ms. Beverly Barbaree, Mrs. Susan Carver and Mrs. Paige Williams’ classes recently enjoyed their “first” ride on a Coffee County school bus. The City of Douglas and Transwaste are offering a residential Junk Drop-Off Day in August to help citizens get rid of excess trash. The upcoming date will be Saturday, Aug. 20, 2016 at Wheeler Park, located at West Gordon Street, from 8 a.m. to noon.
