Coffee High School Encore will present ‘Remus Tales,’ a collection of stories by Joel Chandler Harris, this Saturday, March 21, in the CHS cafetorium. These stories feature four scheming, conniving, dim-witted creatures who work against each other to prove just how smart, fast, and strong they are. The first show is at 2 p.m. and second show is set for 7 p.m. General admission is $5 and CHS students with a current ID can get in for $3. Children under five are admitted free. -Submitted copy

The South Georgia State College Lady Hawks softball team split two double headers last week, bringing the spring season win total to eight. The Lady Hawks played two games against East Georgia State College in Swainsboro last week with game one ending in a loss of 6-2 and game two ending in a win of 5-3.
