Steve Carver, Coffee County Fire Chief and EMA Director, was the speaker at the Douglas Kiwanis Club meeting of Tuesday, Feb. 17 at the Flyin’ Cowboy restaurant. The Coffee County, Georgia Historical Society is attempting to identify individuals in newly-discovered photographs. The image above is the second of such photos featuring recently-rediscovered glass negatives from the Rogers Studio Collection. It features a group of mostly women in front of the First Baptist Church from about 1926-1931. A few who have been identified are Mrs. W.R. Wilson Sr., Mrs. E.L. Tanner, Mrs. Melvin Tanner, Mrs. Lawson Kelly, Mrs. A.A. Kuhl and Mrs. Carl Tanner.
