Coffee County Great Promise Partnership (GPP) students joined youth from all over the state of Georgia for Leadership Day at the Capitol on Monday, February 23, in Atlanta. Leadership Day, sponsored by the Department of Community Affairs (DCA), is an opportunity for leaders from across Georgia to come together, share best practices, and identify ways to improve leadership efforts in Georgia. The No. 18 South Georgia State College Hawks (25-4, 14-3) will host a GCAA Conference Tournament quarterfinal game Tuesday, March 3 with tipoff scheduled for 7 p.m. General admission will be five dollars with children five and under admitted free. No SGSC basketball regular season passes will be accepted. As the tournament’s top seed, the Hawks will play the No. 8 seed in the quarterfinals. The opponent has not yet been determined because the GCAA’s regular season has not ended.
