Mrs. Waunelle Benton Kimbrel, age 81, passed away in Pooler, GA on January 23, 2015 following an extended illness. Mrs. Kimbrel was born in Douglas, GA on February 16, 1933 to the late Edd Benton and Ruby Kirkland Benton. She was preceded in deathy by her husband, Billy Kimbrel. The City of Douglas will be having a skatepark meeting with concerned citizens to discuss new ideas and potential locations for a skatepark. The Childhood Cancer Awareness Group of Coffee County (CCAGCC) would like to give a huge thank you to Delorice’s Florist for donating a check for $1935 to the organization. The money was raised during the Christmas holidays by giving patrons a discount for donating $5 to give to the CCAGCC.
