Barbara Ann Ricketson, age 77, of Douglas, Georgia passed away on Thursday, January 22, 2026, at Hospice Satilla Hospice House. She was born on December 6, 1948, to the late Mr. Spurgeon Warren Smith and the late Annie Mae Smith.
Survivors include: one son, Wyatt (Julie) Burkett of Blackshear, GA; five grandchildren, Bailey (Alberto) Burkett, Emily Revels, Luke (Ansley) Revels, Brennan (Leighanne) Hutto, and Zoie (Ty) Leverette; two sisters; four great grandchildren, Brantleigh, Kashton, Kaden, and Kylan, along with several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by: her beloved husband, Ronnie Ricketson; one daughter, Tracy Lynn Kirkland; father, Spurgeon Warren Smith; and mother, Annie Mae Smith.
The family will receive friends Saturday, January 24, 2026 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Sims Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, January 25, 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Chapel of Sims Funeral Home with Rev. Casey Wright officiating. Interment will follow at Burkett Baptist Church Cemetery.
Active pallbearers will include: Chad Cotsensmoyer, Tony Stone, Kevin Harper, Alberto Garcia, Diego Gomez, and Tristen Gomez.
