Both the Lady Patriots and Patriots made quick work of their opponents in the round 8 this weekend in Macon.

On Friday, the 3rd ranked Lady Patriots faced  #6 John Hancock. The girls started hot, leading 31-11 at half and closing it out with a 56-29 win. Arabelle Roberts poured in a career high 40 points and grabbed 17 rebounds. Abrah Harris grabbed 10 rebounds while Ava Vickers went 2 of 4 on 3-pointers, scoring 6 points.

Saturday’s boys game put the #1 ranked Patriots against #9 ranked Fullington Academy. CCA’s press was more than FA could handle, creating 20 points off transition. The boys led 40-15 at half and won 79-29. In a game that saw all the Patriots getting ample playing time, the team shot an impressive 13 of 26 from 3. Five players made it to double digits with Grey McLean scoring 24, Jonathan Rutland 13, Jack Culpepper 12, Thomas Gentry 11, and Blake Bryant 10.

Both teams head to Brewton Parker College on Wednesday for the Final Four. The girls take the floor against #2 ranked St. George’s at 3 pm, while the boys face #5 Thomas Jefferson at 7:30 pm.
