Southeast Georgia CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates), a program of Action Pact, is proud to announce the swearing-in of its newest CASA Volunteer, Michelle Perry, who took the official oath of service before the Honorable Marlo A. Ross this week. With this addition, the program continues to grow in both strength and impact—expanding its capacity to advocate for the best interests of children experiencing foster care in Coffee County.
“We are thrilled to welcome Michelle to our team,” said Jessica Blackrick, Director of Southeast Georgia CASA. “Every new volunteer means another child has the chance to be heard, supported, and given the opportunities they deserve. The demand for advocacy continues to rise, and our volunteers make a life-changing difference.”
CASA Volunteers are trained community members appointed by the court to speak up for the safety, stability, and well-being of children in foster care. As Coffee County continues to see an increasing need for advocates, the growth of the CASA program plays a crucial role in ensuring that every child’s voice is represented during their time in care.
A growing program, a growing need
The swearing-in of new volunteers marks an exciting milestone for Southeast Georgia CASA, reflecting a strong commitment from the community to support its most vulnerable children, but more volunteers are needed.
“Children in foster care face incredible challenges, and a CASA Volunteer can be the one constant in a very uncertain time,” said Mrs. Blackrick “We hope this moment inspires others in our community to step forward.”
