One of the two NFL players with connections to Coffee County has a new team. Defensive lineman Kentavius Street, who began his high school career at Coffee High before moving to North Carolina, has signed a free agent deal with the Chicago Bears. For the last three seasons, Street has played for the Alanta Falcons.
A fourth round pick out of North Carolina State, Street has played with the San Francisco 49ers, New Orleans Saints, Philadelphia Eagles, and the Falcons. Last season, Street began the year on Atlanta’s practice squad but was signed to the 53-man roster mid-season. He played in seven games during the 2025-2026 campaign.
While with the Falcons, Street has tallied 50 tackles and 4 sacks. For his career, he has played in 85 games (10 starts) and has recorded 125 tackles, 24 tackles for loss, and 10.5 sacks.
Street’s signing is a depth move for Chicago and he will have to compete for a roster spot once camp opens.
Coffee County’s other NFL player, Tyreek Hill, remains unsigned after he was cut by the Miami Dolphins while rehabbing a catastrophic knee injury he suffered last season.
