Richard C. Baker, age 85, of Dublin, GA passed away on Monday, January 18, 2016, at his residence following an extended illness. Mr. Baker was born on September 18, 1930, in Fitzgerald, GA to the late Cleon Vickers Baker and Winifred Kirkland Baker.

Survivors include: his sister, Joyce Couey of Dublin, GA; four nephews, Cleon (Robin) Couey of Dublin, GA, Richard (Michelle) Couey of Huntington Beach, CA, Kevin Couey of Scott, GA and David (Carrie) Baker of Arlington, TX; two nieces, Elizabeth Johnson of Dublin, GA and Emily (Colin) Short of Arlington, TX.

Graveside Service will be held on Friday, January 22, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at Douglas City Cemetery with Rev. Daniel Folds officiating. In lieu of flowers the family request that donations to be made to the Humane Society of United States.

Sims Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
