Jimmie Ray Wooten, age 63, of Broxton, GA passed away on Wednesday, June 1, 2016. Mr. Wooten was born on July 1, 1952, in Broxton, Georgia to the late Knivelton Brinson Wooten and Ida Lucille Stapleton Wooten.
Survivors include: Wife, Shirley Salter of Broxton, GA; Daughter, Shannon Kirkland of Douglas, GA; Granddaughter, Jasmine Kirkland of Douglas, GA; Brother, Carlos Wooten of Litha Springs, GA; Brother, K Wooten, Jr of Locusr Grove, GA; Brother, Jerry Wooten of Denton, GA; Brother, Quitman Wooten of Broxton, GA; Brother, Richard Wooten of Broxton, GA; Sister, Pricilla Harrison of Sparks, GA; Sister, June Davis of Adel, GA; Sister, Gertrude Harrison of Douglas, GA; Sister, Betty Harrell of Sustis, FL; Sister, Mamie Lamb of Adel, GA; Sister, Alice Edenfield of Ft Myers, FL; Sister, Mary Darden of Hollister, FL; Sister, Mary Kight of Broxton, GA; Sister, Winnie Hutto of Broxton, GA He was preceded in death by a brother, Larry Wooten and a sister, Beulah Mae Wooten.
Visitation will be held on Friday, June 3, 2016 from 6:00 PM-9:00 PM Sims Funeral Home. Mr. Wooten will-instate on Saturday, June 4, 2016 from 3:00 PM until the funeral hour at 4:00 PM at Pridgen Baptist Church with the Rev. Morgan Harrison and the Rev. Charlie Kight officiating. Interment will follow in the Pridgen Baptist Church Cemetery.
