Satilla Regional Library System welcomed storyteller Ms. Pat Nease to the Douglas-Coffee County & Pearson Public Libraries on Wednesday.

Ms. Nease held a fun storytelling performance that encouraged movement, character portrayal, call and respond, sound effects, and songs. Some of the stories included The Billy Goat Rap, The Old Woman and her Pig, The Girl and the Geese, Abiyoyo, and many other fun stories. There was audience participation and lots of laughter, with a pizza party immediately following each performance. Everyone had a great time!

The next Summer Reading Program performance will be The Center for Wildlife Education, which will be holding a wildlife program incorporating raptors, reptiles, and other fun creepy crawlers on Wednesday, June 15, at the Douglas-Coffee County Public Library at 11 a.m. and the Willacoochee Public Library at 2:30 p.m.

For more information on upcoming youth programs at Satilla Regional Library System, call Miss Julie Macomber, Children’s and Young Adult Librarian, at (912) 384-4667 ext. 222.
