Bobby Wade Spires, age 76, of Wray, GA passed away on Thursday, January 12, 2017, at his residence following an extended illness. Mr. Spires was born on May 14, 1940, in Milan, GA to the late James Robert Spires and Ruby Lee Smith Spires.
Survivors include: his wife, Martha Spires of Wray, GA; daughter, Connie (Jimmy) Wilson of Wray, GA; son, Bobby Wayne Spires of Wray, GA; sister, Doris Kinnett of Fitzgerald, GA; six grandchildren, Courtney Wilson Straub, Emily Wilson, Stephen Wilson, Andrew Spires, Clay Spires, and Kara Spires; three great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brothers, James Spires, Donnie Spires, and Bennie Spires.
The family will receive friends Saturday, January 14, 2017 from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m at Sims Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be held on Sunday, January 15, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at New Corinth Calvary Holiness Church with Rev. Jody Silver and Rev. Vernon Hughes officiating. Interment will follow at New Corinth Calvary Church Cemetery.
