Mrs. Lounez McNeal Gwinn, age 101 of Douglas, passed away Thursday evening, February 9, 2017, at Shady Acres Health and Rehabilitation following an extended illness. Mrs. Gwinn was born July 26, 1915 to the late John R. McNeal and the late Corinne King McNeal. She was a native of Cecil, GA. Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Milton Gwinn, a daughter, Patsy Gwinn Carter and a grand-daughter, Tammy Mercer. Mrs. Gwinn’s church affiliation was with Refuge Primitive Baptist Church in Atkinson County.

Survivors include:
1 Son, Jerry (Jenelle) Gwinn of Marietta, GA
6 Grandchildren
14 Great-Grandchildren
5 Great-Great-Grandchildren
Several Nieces, Nephews, Other Relatives and Friends

Graveside Services and Interment will be Sunday, February 12, 2017, at 2:00 P.M. at Refuge Cemetery in Atkinson County with Rev. Don T. Lott officiating.

The family will be receiving friends, Saturday, February 11, 2017 from 5:00 to 8:00 P.M. at Ricketson Funeral Home.

Ricketson Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
