Vyrlin Stone, age 75, of Douglas, GA passed away on Sunday, February 12, 2017, at Coffee Regional Medical Center following an extended illness. Mr. Stone was born on February 1, 1942, in Jeff Davis County, GA to the late Claude Stone, Sr. and Addie Wooten Stone.

Survivors include: his three sons, Wendell (Nena) Stone of Ambrose, GA, Dewayne (Lydia) Stone of Douglas, GA, and Timmy (Dana) Stone of Broxton, GA; nine grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; brother, Claude (Connie) Stone, Jr. of Snipesville, GA; three sisters, Shirley (Johnnie) Caves of West Green, GA, Sandra (Lonnie) Moody of Hazlehurst, GA, and Linda (Larry) Smith of Hazlehurst, GA; special friend, Marilyn Faulkner of Douglas, GA; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Claude and Addie Wooten Stone, Sr.; three brothers, Harvey Stone, Jimmy Stone, and Emory Stone; and two sisters, Iva King and Doris Fletcher.

The family will receive friends Tuesday, February 14, 2017 from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m at Sims Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, February 15, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at Pine Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Larry Stone officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Pleasant Byrd Church Cemetery.

Sims Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements
