Marilyn Geraldine Harper Morris, age 83, of Columbia, SC passed away on Wednesday, February 15, 2017, at Palmetto Health Baptist in Columbia, SC following an extended illness. Mrs. Morris was born on May 2, 1933, in Douglas, GA to the late Osie Harper and Lucy Adel Martin Harper.

Survivors include: her husband, Basil Neil Morris of Columbia, SC; daughter, Sheree Morris of Hilton Head Island, SC; son, Mark Morris of Columbia, SC; two granddaughters, Dana Morris (Chris) Browy of Lexington, SC and Jamie Neil Morris of Columbia, SC; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Osie Harper and Lucy Martin Harper; and a sister, Annie Maude Stodghill.

Graveside Service will be held on Saturday, February 18, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Illa Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Mark Mercer officiating. In Lieu of Flowers donations may be made to Alzheimer’s Association National Office, 225 N. Michigan Ave., Fl. 17, Chicago, IL 60601.

Sims Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
