Mrs. Shirley Faye Fussell, age 77, of Douglas, GA passed away on Wednesday, February 21, 2018, in Douglas, GA. Mrs. Fussell was born on June 22, 1940, in Coffee County, Georgia to the late H. D. Smith and Catherine Cecile Metts Smith.

She is survived by: husband, Herman Fussell of Douglas, GA; daughters: Donna Raynor and husband Phillip of Orlando, FL, Kim and husband Richard Merritt of Douglas, GA; son, Joey and wife Clarice Anderson of Ambrose, GA; sister, Frances Davis, of Nicholls, GA; brothers: Donnie and wife Marilyn Smith of Willacoochee, GA, Ricky and wife Joy Smith of Ambrose, GA; 8 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; 1 great- great grandchild; several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by: her mother, Cecile Smith; father, H.D. Smith; and daughter, Kay Anderson.

Funeral service was held on Friday, February 23, 2018, at 4 P.M. at the Mt. Union Primitive Baptist Church where Elder Walter DeLoach officiated. Eulogy was by daughter, Donna Raynor. Music provided for the service by Joseph DeLoach on the piano with congregation singing, “When We All Get to Heaven” and “In the Sweet Bye and Bye.”

Closing message at graveside with Rev. David Davis, “Amazing Grace “performed on violin by Joseph DeLoach. Active Pallbearers: David Davis, Jason Anderson, Justin Anderson, Daniel Anderson, Luke Merritt, Nick Raynor and Ivy Wilkerson and Michelle Raynor. Honorary Pallbearers were: Karen Davis, Julie DiPietro, Hugh Smith, Mandy Corlee, Dorsey Smith, Adam Smith, Ben Smith and Jake Raynor.

Interment followed at Mt Union Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery.
