Mrs. Johnnie Williams Adams, age 88 of Broxton, passed away Wednesday, December 19, 2018, at Coffee Regional Medical Center following a short illness. Mrs. Adams was born June 18, 1930 to the late Charlie Williams and the late Minnie Leavens Williams. Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, George Adams and two daughters, Gail Smith and Susan Harrell.

Mrs. Adams, a native of Coffee County, had been a seamstress with Smith Designs, Federal Corset and Johnny’s Coat Factory. She was a member of the Red Hat Society. She attended Northside Baptist Church.

Survivors include: Children Jerry Wayne Harrell and wife Brenda of Douglas, Donnie Lee Harrell and wife Faye of Warm Springs, Latrelle Johnson and husband Jimmy of Douglas, Raymond Monroe Harrell and wife Lisa of Douglas, and Jan Vining and husband Gary of Lawrenceville; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; and a number of nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.

The funeral service was Saturday morning, December 22, 2018 at 11 a.m. at the Chapel of Ricketson Funeral Home with Rev. Ray Coleman officiating. The interment followed in the Broxton City Cemetery.

Ricketson Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
