George Elle Vickers, age 80, of Pearson, Georgia passed away on Friday November 9, 2019 at Coffee Regional Medical Center.

Mr. Vickers was born on April 5, 1939 in Atkinson County, the son of the late Maccager Vickers and the late Mary Gillis Vickers. He worked in the maintenance department at Wal-Mart Distribution Center and was a veteran of the United States Navy serving during the Vietnam War.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Joan N. McKinnon Vickers and a daughter, Joan L. Vickers.

Survivors include his daughter, Christina Moore Joly (Nikki) of Michigan; three grandchildren, Arabi Vickers Pena (Christopher) of Pearson, Emily Constantino (Nini) of Willacoochee, and Tyler Moore of Michigan; two great grandchildren, Bryce Pena and Aubree Constantino; several nieces and nephews.

Graveside services were held on Monday November 11, 2019 at 11 am at New Harmony Grove Church Cemetery with Rev. Casey Wright officiating.

Sims Funeral Home in Douglas was in charge of arrangements.
