David Coleman Lindsey, age 60, of Douglas, passed away on Saturday, January 4, 2020 at his residence. Mr. Lindsey was born on July 11, 1959 in England, the son of the late L.C. Lindsey and the late Nellie Paulk Lindsey.
Mr. Lindsey was owner/operator of Ultimate Graphics Plus in Douglas, was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps serving during Granada and was a member of Eastside Baptist Church.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Marvin Lindsey.
Survivors include his wife, Denise Lindsey of Douglas; two sons, David Lindsey II (Jerri Lynn) of Douglas, and Danny Lindsey (Emily) of Marietta; daughter, Dana Mayo (Michael) of Macon; eight grandchildren, Hannah Lindsey, Brett Lindsey, Hunter Myers, Kase Lindsey, Elizabeth Lindsey, Amelia Lindsey, Julia Mayo and Boston Mayo; brother, Jeff Lindsey of Douglas; sister, Diana Lindsey of Douglas; several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends Monday evening January 6, 2020 from 5pm until 9pm at Sims Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday January 7, 2020 at 2pm at The Sanctuary with Rev. Jason Harris and Rev. Bob Powell officiating. Interment will follow at Salem Church Cemetery. Military honors will be provided by the United States Marine Corp Honor Guard.
Pallbearers will be Greg Walker, Phar Mullis, Michael Brown, Mike Smeltzer, Jerome Loving, Gene Waldron, Marty Griffis, Newton Sellers, Eddie Chaney, Juran Ray and Walt Dockery.
