Bobby Ray Coleman, age 80, of Douglas, Georgia, passed away on Tuesday, October 20, 2020 at Coffee Regional Medical Center. Mr. Coleman was born on December 26, 1939 in Coffee County, Georgia, the son of the late Jesse Coleman and Hazel Baker Coleman.

 

Mr. Coleman worked with Midland-Ross Janitrol as an aerospace tech specialist, a volunteer firefighter for 15 years in Columbus, Ohio, a veteran of the United States Air Force, a member of the American Legion Post # 17 Douglas and was of the Baptist faith.

 

Survivors include his wife, Delores Coleman of Douglas, GA; daughter, Jill Rose (Richard) of Clearwater, Florida; son, Matt Coleman (Donna) of Prince Frederick, Maryland; two grandchildren, Jessica Rose of Montreal, Canada and Kyle Rose of Orlando, FL; two sisters, Eleanor Sammons (Jimmy) of Douglas, GA and Dorothy Poole of Douglas, GA; several nieces and nephews.

 

Graveside services will be held on Monday, October 26, 2020 at 11:00am at Douglas City Cemetery with Dr. Don Hattaway officiating.

 

Sims Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

 

Due to COVID-19, Sims Funeral Home Inc. will require all guests and attendees to wear appropriate medical grade face-masks and maintain social distancing at all times while visiting our facility, and highly encouraged at our services outside of our facility.  Masks are not provided.
