Mr. Walter Allen Busby, age 75 of Douglas, passed away late Thursday afternoon, June 3, 2021 at Tift Regional Medical Center following a short illness. Mr. Busby was born, May 16, 1946 to the late David Preston Busby and the late Edith Troop Busby.

Mr. Busby, a native of Douglas, GA was a heavy equipment operator with CSX Railroad. He was a veteran of the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He was also a member of Southview Church of God.

Survivors include:

Children: Renea Taylor of Fitzgerald, GA
Amanda Sterling of Gainesville, GA
David Busby of Colquitt, GA

Brothers: Darrell Busby of Willacoochee, GA
David Carl Busby of Texas

8 Grandchildren

2 Great Grandchildren

Several Nieces, Nephews, Cousins and Many Friends

The graveside service and interment will be Sunday afternoon, June 6, 2021 at 2:00 PM at Hebron Cemetery with Rev. Willie Wilson officiating.

The family will receive friends, Sunday morning from 11:00 AM to Sunday afternoon at 1:30 PM at Ricketson Funeral Home.

Due to COVID-19, attendees are asked to observe six foot social distancing at the graveside service and interment. Please wear your mask for safety precautions and in accordance with CDC guidelines.

Ricketson Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
