Mr. Calvin Monroe Stone, age 71 of Douglas, passed away early Tuesday morning, August 3, 2021 at Coffee Regional Medical Center following an extended illness. Mr. Stone was born December 16, 1949 to the late Monroe Stone and the late Dicie Stone. Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by 4 Siblings: Isom Stone, Johnny Ray Stone, Hazel Stone and Tommy Davis.

Mr. Stone, a native of Coffee County, was a self employed mobile home contractor. He was a veteran of the United States Army serving during the Vietnam War.

Survivors include:

Children: Regina Stone of Douglas, GA
Janet Keene and husband Steven of Douglas, GA
Tony Stone of Douglas, GA

Siblings: Buck Stone and wife Beth of Dupont, GA
Kathy Raison and husband Jim of Lakeland, GA
Bonnie Wollitz and husband Ed of Nashville, GA
Rosie Spivey and husband Reggie of Nashville, GA

 

Grandchildren: Joshua Keene, Jordan Keene, Ansley Keene and MeaBella Stone all of Douglas, GA, Grace Stone, Katie Stone, Naomi Stone and Tucker Stone, all of Alabama

Several Nieces, Nephews, Cousins and many friends

The graveside service and interment will be Friday afternoon, August 6, 2021 at 2:00 P.M. at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Atkinson County with Rev. Bob Powell officiating.

The family will receive friends, Thursday evening, August 5, 2021 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Ricketson Funeral Home.

Due to COVID-19, attendees are asked to observe six foot social distancing at the visitation, graveside service and interment. Please wear you mask for safety precautions.

Ricketson Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
