Donald Brian Chybicki, age 61, of Baxley, Georgia passed away on Tuesday, September 28, 2021 at his residence. Mr. Chybicki was born on February 10, 1960 in Chicago, Illinois, the son of the late Edward Joseph and Florence Chybicki.

 

Mr. Chybicki worked as a Production Line worker for ElKay Sinks and was a member of Macedonia Church of God, Baxley, Georgia. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death his wife, Sandra Kay Chybicki and 2 nephews, Keith “Biskit” Chybicki and Johnathan Monroe Dykes.

 

Survivors include 2 step-children whom he helped raise as his own children, Sandy Hunter (Brian) of Baxley, GA and Andy Powell (Cassandra) of Denton, GA; sister-in-law, Debbie Creech (Tommy) of Hazlehurest, GA; brother-in-law, Charlie Adams (Norma);7 grandchildren, Nathan Powell, Cassidy Powell, Gage Powell, Dustin Hunter (Lacey), Kody Hunter (Amber), Karlie Atkinson and, Caylie Beecher; mother-in-law, Laverne Cothern of Hazlehurst, GA; 4 great grandchildren, Hayden Hunter, Hudson Hunter, Tatum Hunter and Scarlet Grace Hunter; step-mother, Verneal Nipper of Douglas, GA; 2 step-sisters, Rosa Powell and LeAnn Woods; brother, Edward Chybicki; 2 sisters, Deborah Herron (Steve Coffet) and Gail Nipper Wright(Dusty); along with several nieces, nephews and other relatives.

 

The family received friends Friday, October 8, 2021 from 6:00PM until 9:00PM at Sims Funeral Home.

 

Funeral services were held on Saturday, October 9, 2021 at 11:00AM at Macedonia Church of God, Baxley, GA with Bro. Marshall Adcock officiating. Interment followed at Denton City Cemetery. Pallbearers were Blake Wright, Nathan Powell, Ashton (Chybicki) Gandy, Chris Gandy, Wright (Dusty) Nipper, Shane Metts, Kole Metts, Cody Hunter, Dustin Hunter and Jason Chauncey.

 

Attendees are asked to comply with the current guidelines and restrictions concerning containment of the coronavirus, including masks and social distancing.

 

Sims Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
