Mrs. Linda Marie Hollis, aged 72, of Douglas, Georgia, passed away on Saturday, December 18, 2021, at Piedmont Hospital in Atlanta, Georgia. Mrs. Hollis was born on April 24, 1949, in Coffee County, Georgia, to the late Jimmy Spires and Addie Ruth Sayer Spires.

 

Survivors include: Husband; Rev. Jimmy Hollis of Monticello, GA , Son; James Hollis III (Leslie) of Monticello, GA, Brother; Jerome Spires, Seven Grandchildren; James Hollis IV, Tyler Hollis, Katrina McKinney, Mathew Hollis, Katie Hollis, Marisa Hollis, Carson Hollis, as well as ten Great-Grandchildren. Mrs. Hollis was preceded in death by her parents, Jimmy Spires and Addie Ruth Sayer Spires, two sisters; Georgia Mobley and Geraldine Stone, and two brothers; Paul Spires and Larry Spires Sr.

 

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, December 21, 2021, from 6:00P.M. to 8:30P.M. at Sims Funeral Home.

 

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, December 22, 2021, at 2:00PM, at the Chapel of Sims Funeral Home with Rev. Jason Patterson, Rev. George Carroll Paulk, and Rev. Jeremy Cox officiating. The interment will follow at Deberry Baptist Church Cemetery. Active Pallbearers will be: Troy Paul, Mike Justice, Troy Highsmith, Gary Snow, Joel Ursery, Timmy Stone, Patrick Dowling, and Hal McCallum.

 

Due to COVID-19, Sims Funeral Home Inc. will require all customers, guests, and attendees to wear medical grade masks at all times while in our facility, as well as social distancing. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, however the safety of our staff and those we serve are our primary concern. Masks will not be provided.   

 

Sims Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
