Dewayne Harrell, age 74, of Douglas, Georgia passed away on Tuesday, March 22, 2022, at Coffee Regional Medical Center following an extended illness. Mr. Harrell was born on December 14, 1947, in Douglas, GA to Clinton Harrell and Grace Adams Harrell.

 

Survivors include: His Wife; Carla Jean Ayers Harrell of Douglas, GA,  One Daughter; Julia Ann Harrell Thomas of Douglas, GA, Two  Grandsons;  Lawton (Anna) Thomas of Douglas, GA,  Paul (Brenna) Thomas of Douglas, GA, and One Sister;  Debra Harrell of Douglas, GA.  Mr. Harrell is also survived by several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by: One Daughter; Brandi Marie Harrell, and Parents; Clinton Harrell and Grace Adams Harrell.

 

The family will receive friends Thursday, March 24, 2022 from 6:00pm to 9:00pm at Sims Funeral Home.

 

Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 25, 2022, at 4:00pm, at the Chapel of Sims Funeral Home with Rev. Casey Wright officiating. Interment will follow at Harrell Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. Active Pallbearers will be: Lawton Thomas, Paul Thomas, Jesse Harrell, Anthony Moore, Henry Simpson, and Gary Austin. Honorary Pallbearers will be: Mark Walker, Wayne McKinnon,  Van Grantham, Jimmy Jowers, Steve Vickers, Stanley O’Steen, Jamie Hersey, James Boggan, Craig Adams, Lisa Adams, Johnny Spell, Tammy Spell, Gene Waldron, Marty Griffis, Don Stokes, and Lester Murray.

 

Sims Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
