David Virgil Varnedore, age 85, of Douglas, Georgia passed away on Wednesday, August 31, 2022, at Coffee Regional Medical Center.  Mr. Varnedoe was born on October 1, 1936, in Douglas, GA to the late Dave Varnedore and the late Inez Brantley Varnedore.

 

 

Survivors include: Son, David V. (Sharon) Varnedore, Jr. of Douglas, GA, Daughter, Brenda Diane Spivey of Douglas, GA, Daughter, Tammy (Brian) Whitley of Douglas, GA, Daughter, Gail Oglesbee of Douglas, GA, Sister, Sarah Matson of Palatka, FL, Grandchildren, Cassandra (Andy) Powell, Amanda (Matt) Smith, Mark (Hali) Varnedore, Angelique Spivey, Bree Whitley, Dare (Lance) McKenzie, Nellie Whitley, Eight Great Grandchildren, and several Nieces and Nephews. Mr. Varnedore was preceded in death by: Father, Dave Varnedore, and Mother, Inez Brantley Varnedore.

 

 

The family will receive friends Friday, September 2, 2022, from 6:00pm to 9:00pm, at Sims Funeral Home.

 

 

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 3, 2022 at 2:00pm, at The First Assembly of God with Rev. Marshall Adcock and Rev. Harold Barnes officiating. 

 

 

Interment will follow at Tanner Baptist Church Cemetery. Active Pallbearers will be: Brandon McMillan, John Williams, Byron Griffis, Noah Hatfield, Drake Lomax, Ricky Barrett, Marshall Dye, and Marcus Burch.

 

 

Sims Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
