Dorothy Fedrau Donaldson passed away on Tuesday, November 24, 2022, at Vista Park, in Douglas, GA.   Mrs. Donaldson was born on May 31, 1920, in Rochester, N.Y., to the late Albert and Emma Fedrau.  

 

 

Mrs. Donaldson was survived by many relatives in the Shafer and Fedrau families most of all lived and died in Rochester, N.Y. Her husband, Donald N. Donaldson passed away in 2005.  They were married 64 years, now over 80 years.  After Mr. Donaldson was transferred to Atlanta by Eastman Kodak Co., she joined Northside Hospital Auxiliary in 1974, as a volunteer, and several other hospitals for 40 plus years.  She retired from volunteer work at the age 92 from Coffee Regional Medical Center.  She was a faithful member at the First Presbyterian Church. She loved God, her family, and friends.     

 

 

She is survived by; One daughter, Donna (Douglas) Haines of Douglas, GA, One son, Donald Thomas (Linda) Donaldson of St. Petersburg, FL Six Grandchildren, Thomas J. (Wanice) Linn of Michigan, Lauren Linn of Valdosta, GA, Kristen (Jeromy) Hutchison of Nicholls, GA, Elizabeth Donaldson of New York, Daniel Donaldson of CA, David Donaldson of Atlanta, GA, Four Great-Grandchildren, Emily Rutledge of Valdosta, GA, Thomas Rutledge of Athen, GA, Carter Hutchison of Nicholls, GA, Payton Hutchison of Nicholls, GA.  Preceded in death by: Husband, Donald Nelson Donaldson; Mother, Emma Schaefer; Father, Albert Fedrau; Brother, Norman Fedrau.

 

 

The family will receive friends, on Sunday December 4, 2022, from 1pm – 2 pm at The First Presbyterian of Douglas.

 

 

Memorial services will be held after visitation at 2 pm. with Rev. Walt Deloach officiating.

 

 

Memorialization by cremation, entombment to follow at the Sawnee View Cemetery in Cumming, GA.

 

 

In lieu of flowers, family has requested to send donations to the Bethany Hospice of Douglas GA. 

 

 

Sims Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
