The Satilla Regional Library System hosted Ms. Linda Brunson of ‘Balloons R 4 Twisting,’ who performed her show, ‘Balloon Heroes,’ as part of the Summer reading program in Douglas and Willacoochee last Wednesday, June 10.

The Balloon Heroes show was about inventors of hot air balloons and many famous balloon heroes in history.  Ms. Brunson explained how to make superheroes out of the balloons while demonstrating. The audience made an animal superhero of a dog and superhero Spiderman. The audience had a great time making their balloon heroes.

The Jacksonville Zoo’s ‘Zoo to You Outreach’ will be our next performance on Wednesday, June 17, at 11 a.m. in Douglas and 2:30 p.m. in Pearson.  The Jacksonville Zoo will be visiting both of these library branches and doing a fun outreach program.

For more information on upcoming youth programs at Satilla Regional Library System, please call Julie Macomber, Children’s and Young Adult Librarian, at (912)384-4667 ext. 222. You can also visit us online at our website, www.srlsys.org.
