A shooting victim has been identified as the suspected murderer and assailant in a bizarre incident that occurred in Lakeland over the weekend. GBI agents obtained arrest warrants for 20-year-old Lewis Shukung Geddie on one count of felony murder and one count of aggravated assault. Geddie is believed to be responsible for the death of Willis Lamar Flintroyal and the shooting of Schalonda Beatrice Johnson. A 20-year-old Waycross mother was arrested on drug-related and other charges by Alma police earlier this week following an incident that began as a minor traffic violation. Police initiated a stop on Lindsay Brooke Parks Thursday afternoon on N. Baker St at E. 9th St. in Alma. As Parks exited her vehcile, she allegedly dropped several pills, later identifed as the controlled substance Tramadol, onto the ground. Officers recovered a total of 13 pills from the ground and inside of the vehicle. Two men were arrested by Alma police over the weekend following a home invasion in which the victim was allegedly tied up before the assailants stole cash and other valuables. Authorities reported Alma police responded to a residence on Magnolia Dr. just before midnight Friday, where they discovered two people had kicked in the door, tied the victim, and stole an undisclosed amount of cash and two gold rings. Diana Jacobs was sentenced to 10 years in prison today in Coffee County Superior Court after pleading guilty earlier this month to concealing a death and exploitation of an elderly or disabled adult. Jacobs has been incarcerated in the Coffee County Jail for nearly two years on charges related to the death of Alexander Hunter, 67, whose body was found buried in a shed behind Rosewood Manor assisted living facility in Nicholls. A 41-year-old Alma woman and a 16-year-old male juvenile were arrested Thursday in connection to a case involving severe injuries sustained by a 21-month-old child. Alice Herrington has been charged with one count of party to the crime for failing to notify law enforcement regarding the injuries sustained by the victim. The male juvenile , also of Alma, was detained for one count of battery, one count of aggravated battery, and one count of first degree cruelty to children. Sheriff’s authorities say Coffee County jail staff observed Carelock in the lobby of the law enforcement center around 10 p.m. Tuesday acting suspiciously. Coffee County sheriff’s investigators are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying a thief. Authorities report that in the early morning hours last Tuesday, Aug. 16, a male subject entered an automobile at a residence on Cutter Rd. and took a number of undisclosed items. The male culprit attempted to break into another vehicle on the property, but was unsuccessful. Royheem Deeds, wanted in connection to the shooting death of Eastman Police Officer Tim Smith, was arrested along with two others early Monday morning in Florida. The Georgia Bureau of Investigation reported Deeds was arrested on a traffic stop conducted by the Nassau County Sheriff’s Office around 1:30 a.m. on U.S. 1 in Hilliard, Florida. Also in the vehicle were Deeds’ sister, 22-year-old Franshawn Deeds of Lumber City, GA, and 32-year-old Jamil Mitchell, also of Lumber City. Topping the list of Coffee County criminals who should probably find another line of work this week is a trio of would-be burglars who would’ve been a lot better off if they’d just stayed home. Tossing your illegal narcotics outside your car window in the midst of a police chase will not prevent you from getting arrested as one unlucky Coffee County man found out recently. The Douglas-Coffee Drug Unit attempted to conduct a traffic stop on 41-year-old Shantodd T. Reed of Douglas earlier this week for failure to maintain his lane of traffic.
