The month of May got off to a rocky start for a Nicholls man. On May 1, Richard Hailey, 38, of Nicholls, was arrested and charged with aggravated stalking and criminal trespass (family violence) after he allegedly violated a temporary protective order (TPO) by visiting his estranged wife’s house. According to an incident report from the sheriff’s office, Hailey went to his estranged wife’s house on Deer Run Road. Hailey’s wife had a TPO on him. The report states that once Hailey arrived at the house, his wife ran into a room and locked herself inside. …
