First Academy has earned Full Accreditation with Quality from the Georgia Accrediting Commission for kindergarten through sixth grade. W.T. Henry from the Georgia Accrediting Commission was very complementary of First Academy. Mrs. Barbara Ann Hoglund Gillespie, age 81, of Pontiac, Illinois, formerly of Coffee County, passed away Saturday, April 1, 2017, in Pontiac, Illinois following a short illness. She was born November 11, 1935 to the late Clarence Hoglund and Hildegarde Holmstedt Hoglund.
