Emma Johnson, Glynn Academy Key Club President and Georgia Key Club District Project Chair, was the speaker at the Douglas Kiwanis Club meeting Tuesday, Jan. 19, at the Flyin’ Cowboy restaurant. Nothing can compare to a mother’s love and, on January 19, some of our very own Coffee Middle School Trojans honored that statement. Sedrick Williams and Adrian Wilkerson honored their mothers at their last home game for their mothers’ fight and determination. Sedrick Williams’s mother, Moneriah Sams, has ALS, also known as Lou Gehrig’s disease. There is currently no cure and, Sedrick says he is “balling for a cure” because one day he would like a cure to be found in honor of his mom.
